Sorting a hand

Sometime you will see a player using a card holder as they have difficulty holding a fanned hand of cards. Often their difficulty makes it slow for them to sort their hand. So the player who has played the hand on the previous table is frequently asked by the TD to sort the hand for them immediately after playing it.

But in the heat of the moment, how do you remember and not automatically shuffle the cards on auto-pilot?

A simple tip is to: Put a Pass card in the slot in the board where you have just removed your hand from. That way you will remember when you go to put your hand back.
